How to convince my parents to let me drive to the beach?

On the last day of school I would like to take my friends and I to the beach in lake tahoe. I live in Reno, so it's 50 minutes away and there's mountains so some roads may be rocky. I tried asking my parents but they said no. How can I convince them to say yes? I am a very responsible driver, a good student, and many of my other friends are going to drive to tahoe, I don't understand why my parents won't allow it. And I refuse to go without getting their approval.
