No one is attracted to me. Guys only see me as a friend?

I'm non-judgmental and kind, and people (including guys) seem to have an easy time opening up to me, but in the end the girl with the nice body and unique features who they're interested in. I'm turning 18 in a week and I have absolutely no experience with guys or relationships. I rarely get flirted with, ever. I'm just ok looking/very slightly above average, but I have a developed personality and interests. Some of my hobbies are also a little nerdy/boyish, but I'm very casual about it. I thought this would at least attract a certain type of guy, but I get almost no attention from the opposite . I dress down and wear no make-up. I heard guys prefer this look, but it doesn't seem that way. The girls who look all feminine and dolled up with make-up are the ones receiving the most attention, unless they have a very highly attractive face/body. I don't want to change who I am, but I don't know what else to do. Guys only consider me a friend. What should I do? I'm afraid I'll never find love... It also depresses me that even if I do someday find someone, I will constantly feel like I wasn't their first choice, that they just took what they could get.
