Any tips for finding an amateur photographer for my wedding?

There's always Craigslist, a nearby college or a local camera club..however...be sure to also schedule a sitting with a local studio for your formals, which you can purchase a bit at a time. I say this because my husband hired a student for our wedding and we ended up with only 12 half way decent images. Thankfully we also went to a studio that day.
