Things to do in Reno..Help!!?

My fiance is returning from a year deployment in Iraq next week. We are planning a trip to the Reno/Tahoe area for memorial day. I am looking for romantic, memorable things for us to do, does anyone have any ideas? We both love jazz and patio lunches, we also both love adventure and sight seeing. I want this to be a special trip and not having been to Reno I have no idea on all the many things it has to offer! I need your advice to make this trip perfect :) Any ideas would be appreciated.
