Is it ok to wear sandals to the club?

I haven't been clubbin in a million yrs and my friends want to take me out dancing at the club. Probably a night club, it will be in Reno NV. Anyway, I have a teal colored blouse with all silver sequence at the neck and I will wear a pair of tight jeans. I don't have any shoes that match, would it be ok to wear a pair of sandals? or should I buy a new pair of flats? The sandals I have are more like flip flops but they have stones all on the straps.
