Thoughts on the end of the world and all these natural disasters?

Before i never believed in 2012 and crap, but with all these natural disasters... im starting to scared.. am i the only one that's getting nervous? My moms is telling me that their expecting a HUGE earthquake in Jan 2012 to hit near us.. I live in Reno Nv..
