Super clingy friend is suffocating me (please, only answer if you're a guy)?

If you're not a very emotional person, you shouldn't read this. I've got a best friend who I'm gonna call Awesomeman, for anonymity. Awesomeman is the awesomest man I know. He's funny, a little awkward, and lighthearted. Everyone knows him, but not too say he's a jock or anything. I would never think of leaving Awesomeman. So one day in school, during lunch, Awesomeman happened to be hanging out with someone named Clingyguy. So, Awesomeman inrouduced me to Clingyguy (this happened at the beginning of the school year). Well, it all went downhill from there. Now, me and Clingyguy are somehow best friends. So, he found out that me, along with Awesomeman, like to draw comics and stuff in our spare time. So, he started drawing comics too. So usually, he'd read out comics and not laugh that much, then laugh at his own comics. So anyway, Clingyguy is a bit short, chubby, awkward, and short-tempered. He's made fun of by a lot of the school. Everytime I come to school, he's waiting for me. He walks by me in the hallway every chance he gets; he comes by my locker between cles and takes up space so I can barely get my books. He always gets pissed off so easily, and I'm pretty sure he has anger management problems. He screams, punches stuff, throws stuff, etc... when he gets pissed. He's had to be asked to calm down by the teachers a bunch of times. Now me and Clingyguy are exact opposites; I'm calm, cool, and collected, he's short-tempered, awkward, and clingy. So one day (this is in June, after which me, Awesomeman, and him have been "friends" for a long time), he asks if I can go to get smoothies with him and Awesomeman afterschool. So, I say my dad might let me go. Anyway, during lunch, I had made plans to hang out with Hyperkid (a really nice friend of mine who's hyper) at the school library. So I go to the school library with him, and some kid named Anonymous, that I don't know that much, comes up to me and says that Clingyguy is really pissed at me. I ask him how pissed, and he responds, "Like 'I'm gonna ******* kill you' pissed". So, I remember that Clingyguy had planned on working on a comic strip with me during lunch. Anyway, I don't really care that much. So later, my friend Awesomeman sneaks into the library from the cafeteria, and tells me that Clingyguy sent him to get me. I couldn't just not go, as I didn't want to disappoint Awesomeman. So I go, and I see Clingyguy, his head ,against the table, buried in arms. His face is read and he's sobbing a little. So my initial reaction is, "***** PLEASE GROW SOME BALLS," but I'm not the type to get angry, so I just told him I was sorry, but I just wanted to hang out with another friend (I wasn't that sorry). I told him that I thought we were gonna work on the comic strip while we got smoothies (I didn't really think that), so he lightened up a little after that. Later that day, after school, me, Awesomeman, and Clingyguy went to get smoothies. So we go get smoothies and stay in the Smoothieshop to drink our smoothies. Anyway, later, these two cute girls that I know go into the Smoothieshop and say hi to us (mostly because they knew me and Awesomeman). So, they get their smoothies and sit at a table next to us. So me and Awesomeman are just joking around and being a little loud, so Clingyguy looks me in the face and basically says, "***** you're cramping my style." I'm about to tell him he couldn't get a date if he was the last guy on earth, but I didn't. So we quiet down a little anyway. Later, a bunch of jocks from our school come in to get smoothies. Now honestly, the jocks in our school aren't that mean or anything. One 3 or 4 of them are, but not all the time. These 3 or 4 like to see how angry Clingyguy could get. So basically, Clingyguy tells them to get out. He just looks at them and says get out. Because they don't want to cause a scene, they actually get out, but I think it may have been because they saw me and Awesomeman hanging out with him. However, one of the jocks doesn't leave and just stays by the door. So Clingyguy stands up, walks over to him, and actually pushes him out the door while saying get out. The two cute girls mentioned earlier are giggling. Now Clingyguy has pushed him out and he walks back to the table with a look of pride or something as the girls are still giggling. Clingyguy somehow thought that they were giggling because they thought he was funny or cute or strong, but all Clingyguy did was make a scene and unknowingly embarr himself. So we just hang out there for a while, while I feel like I want to die. So at 4:00, I say I have to walk home, and Clingyguy says that he needs to buy a donut on the go. So I wait for him, but then I tell him that my dad is gonna be pissed, so I tell him that I am going immediately. What I see is an expression on his face that l
